AutoCAD Technician – Design Build CAD Consultant - Are you a skilled AutoCAD Technician with a passion for warehouse layout design, supply chain optimization, and project implementation?
We are seeking a results-driven CAD Design Consultant to join our fast-paced Design Build CAD Team,
supporting innovative warehouse engineering and logistics infrastructure projects across distribution centers nationwide.
This is a dynamic opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in
2D AutoCAD drafting, material handling systems, rack installation, and flow design to make a real impact.
📍 Location: On-site | Travel Required: Up to 75%

💲 Pay Range: $40/hr – $50/hr

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update detailed AutoCAD 2D drawings for warehouse layouts, office configurations, and industrial workspaces.
- Manage design and execution of distribution center projects, ensuring alignment with safety codes, including hazmat storage, high-pile racking, and building permits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants on logistics transformation initiatives.
- Lead project coordination tasks including quoting, scheduling, installation supervision, and progress reporting.
- Document business requirements and develop functional workflows to streamline supply chain operations.
- Build Excel tools for bin location mapping, labeling systems, and inventory control.
- Analyze key metrics and deliver monthly supplier scorecards and performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with permitting processes and construction regulations across project sites.
🎓 Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in AutoCAD-based layout planning, warehouse engineering, or logistics design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is strongly preferred.
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% and work flexible hours when required.
