About the Job

We are hiring top-tier competitive coders from the US, Canada, most LATAM and European countries, and select regions in Africa and Asia.

This is a 100% remote, contract-based opportunity.

Who We're Looking For?

We seek skilled software engineers with 3+ years of experience and a passion for competitive coding. Ideal candidates have participated in at least one hackathon or coding competition from our preferred list.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated code and provide human-readable rationales.
  • Solve complex coding challenges by writing efficient, functional code.
  • Develop robust test cases to validate AI-generated solutions.
  • Enhance AI coding models by reviewing and improving generated code.

Our projects vary widely! You might compare Python snippets one day and build a full mobile app using an AI chatbot the next.

Pay & Work Hours

  • 💰 $50/hr (Global Rate)
  • ⏳ Minimum 15 hours/week, unlimited hours available
  • 📅 Flexible scheduling—work as much as you want!

Contract Length

  • Long-term (2+ years of work expected)
  • You can leave anytime, but we hope for at least a 12-month commitment

Work Flexibility

  • Set your own schedule—work when and how you prefer.
  • No strict hour tracking; payment is based on time spent coding on the platform.

Interview Process

  • Apply via Ashby
  • Complete an async RLHF code review (35 min, must be done within 72 hours)
  • Attend a group call to address onboarding questions
  • Perform a simulated production task—this serves as the final interview.

Successful candidates gain access to ongoing AI training projects as they become available.

Tech Stack Priorities

  • 🔹 Python (Primary focus)
  • 🔹 Engineers with a Data Science background
  • 🔹 Proficiency in additional programming languages is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • ✅ 3+ years in software engineering/development.
  • ✅ Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
  • ✅ Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
  • ✅ Attention to detail and consistency in writing.
  • ✅ Proficiency in Python.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • ⭐ Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science
  • ⭐ Proficiency in additional languages like Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, SQL, Swift, Go, Rust, R, and more
  • ⭐ Contributions to the coding community or open-source projects
  • ⭐ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • ⭐ Passion for technical writing and AI training
