Position Details
- Role: Copy Clerk / Scanning Operator (Contract)
- Location: 671 South High Street, Columbus, OH (onsite, basement setup)
- Pay: $18/hr
- Duration: 12–18 months with potential for extension or conversion
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (40 hours per week)
- Parking: Reimbursed (Grange Building)
- Dress Code: Casual (comfortable work clothes and tennis shoes allowed)
Key Responsibilities
As a Copy Clerk, you will:
- Operate scanning equipment to digitize books and documents.
- Use cutters to remove book spines as part of the scanning preparation process.
- Handle repetitive but essential scanning tasks with consistency.
- Remain in a designated workspace, with limited movement outside of the scanning area.
- Alternate between sitting and standing as needed to complete assignments efficiently.
Requirements
To succeed in this Copy Clerk role, you should have:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
- Clear and effective communication skills with colleagues (beyond simple yes/no responses).
- Previous experience in roles that require standing for long periods (warehouse, retail, or hospitality).
