🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate, detailed steel fabrication cost estimates for multi-million-dollar commercial projects
- Analyze structural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and engineering documents to determine scope and materials
- Calculate material take-offs, labor costs, shop drawings, delivery expenses, and overhead allocations
- Apply in-depth knowledge of AISC standards to ensure compliance, cost efficiency, and structural integrity
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to refine budgets and schedules
- Support value engineering initiatives to optimize resource usage and reduce waste
🎯 Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication for commercial projects
- At least 3 years in steel estimating with proven track record on large-scale builds
- Strong understanding of steel shop processes, fabrication workflows, and material procurement
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and construction documentation
