Senior Civil Engineer - Are you a licensed Civil Engineer (PE) ready to take the next bold step in your career?

This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to lead large-scale commercial construction and land development projects in Detroit, MI—while positioning yourself for partnership in a fast-growing engineering firm.

Our firm specializes in design-build commercial developments, offering complete solutions for urban infrastructure, site layout design, grading and drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.

With a brand-new office launching this December, we are looking for a driven civil engineer who can lead junior staff, interface with clients, and shape the next phase of our growth.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of junior civil engineers
  • Lead and review civil site plans, including grading, stormwater drainage, and utility layout using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Attend and lead internal leadership meetings, client presentations, and sub-consultant discussions
  • Coordinate closely with project stakeholders to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Oversee land development engineering projects from planning to permitting to construction documentation

✅ Qualifications

  • Valid Civil PE (Professional Engineer) License (Required)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, site grading, and stormwater management systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading civil engineering teams and client-facing project management
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with a results-driven mindset
  • Familiarity with commercial, municipal, or residential site development best practices
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
